Talk about your brand

“I fell in love with silk velvet flowers not because they were perfect, but because they were alive. Every twist of thread by Nanjing’s aging masters whispered centuries of women’s stories—stories too bold to fade. At SilkBloom, we melt tradition into modern shapes: jewelry that’s fragile yet unbreakable, like the women who wear it. These aren’t just accessories. They’re heirlooms of rebellion, crafted to outlive trends and time.”

Meet The Founder

Lin Yue

In 2018, founder Lin Yue stumbled upon a hidden workshop in a Jiangnan watertown, where artisans breathed life into silk threads usingNanjing Ronghua(velvet flower craft)—a 1,200-year-old Chinese intangible cultural heritage. Once adorning imperial consorts of the Tang Dynasty, this near-lost art inspired her mission: to reimagine silk florals not as relics of the past, but as emblems of modern strength and grace.

History

In ancient China, velvet flowers were exclusively worn by royalty and nobility due to their exquisite craftsmanship and high material costs. Originating from the Qin Dynasty (221–206 BCE), they symbolized "prosperity and glory" (荣华, Ronghua), a homophone of their name, and were initially reserved for imperial concubines

Design Philosophy

  • Material Alchemy: Delicate silk meets industrial-grade titanium, balancing fragility and power.
  • Color Poetry: Rejecting garish traditions, our palette whispers—think ink-wash gradients and stormy neutrals that transcend seasons.
  • Wearable Symbolism: From boardroom earrings that command attention to necklaces that hint at untold stories, every piece is a silent manifesto.

Rewriting Heritage for the Bold

SilkBloom collaborates with Nanjing’s last-generation velvet flower masters, stripping away ornate traditions to craft minimalist jewelry that speaks to today’s women. Each piece embodies quiet rebellion: hand-twisted silk petals, dyed in muted hues of ash rose and moonlit blue, contrast with sleek titanium frames—a metaphor for resilience wrapped in softness.

Sustainability Promise

No molds. No waste. Each SilkBloom creation is entirely handcrafted, with slight asymmetries celebrating human touch. Discarded silk threads become modular petals, inviting wearers to redesign their blooms—because true beauty evolves.
