HOW WE EVALUATE CRAFTSMANSHIP

Every piece we list is judged against the same four standards. They are written down here so you know what we looked at — and so you can hold us to it.

1. Material clarity

Each listing states the material it is made from, the finish, and the setting. Where a workshop confirms something specific about the stone, metal or silk, we write that down too. Nothing is described as more than it is.

2. Build quality

We look at how a piece is put together — settings, joins, finishes and the structural points that decide whether it survives daily wear. A piece that only works in a display case is not one we choose.

3. Buyer usability

Dimensions, weight and wear context are given on the product page, with simple care guidance, so you can judge how a piece sits and how it will age before you decide.

4. Service reliability

Making time, delivery window, return terms and support contact stay visible and consistent — on the product page, in the policies, and in the answers we give by email.

Where a piece falls short

If something does not meet these standards, we do not list it. If a piece reaches you and is not as described, write to support@orientgem.com — that is a different case from a change of mind, and we will deal with it.
